Somebody at your schoolis doing more than anyone knows.
Two-Way Player is a weekly short documentary about one MSAC student-athlete who's excelling somewhere besides the field — the shop, the theater stage floor, the church kitchen, the band room, the photo editing bay, the second job. Tell us who we should be filming.
Who can be nominated
The requirements are short on purpose
- Grades 9–12 at an MSAC school, and on a team roster this season or last — varsity, JV, or freshman. Sideline and spirit programs count.
- Doing well in the classroom, or working hard to get there. We recognize students who've turned it around just as readily as students who've always been on the honor roll.
- There's a second thing. Good grades alone isn't the story. There has to be something they do — a skill, a job, a responsibility, a craft, a cause.
- A parent or guardian says yes. Nothing gets filmed and nothing gets published without written permission from the family and a heads-up to the athletic director.
You don't have to know all the details. If you're not sure whether they qualify, nominate them anyway and we'll figure it out. A name and a few sentences is enough to start.

After you submit
What happens next
- We read every nomination.You'll hear back within three days, either way. No nomination disappears.
- We reach out to the family.A parent or guardian signs a permission form before anything else happens. The athletic director is notified too.
- We spend an afternoon with them.An interview, footage of the thing they're good at, and a few words from a coach or teacher. Usually about ninety minutes.
- The family sees it first.We send the finished film to the student and their parents before it ever goes public.
Not selected this week doesn't mean no. Nominations stay in consideration all season, and we revisit the list every single week.
Two-Way Player features minors, so we're careful. We don't publish grades, home addresses, or daily schedules. We don't contact students directly — everything goes through a parent or guardian and the school's athletic office.
